Plot: An author is in search of a story. He's approaching his deadline, and he has to get the script written in the next few hours, but he hasn't even started. What he needs most is an idea for a character.
The author's typewriter types a message when he's not touching it. It says "bring me to life." The typewriter wants to be the character.
Quiet, Please was created by Wyllis Cooper, also known for creating Lights Out. Ernest Chappell was the show's announcer and lead actor. Quiet, Please debuted June 8, 1947 on the Mutual Broadcasting System, and ended June 25, 1949, on the ABC Radio. A total of 106 shows were broadcast, with only a very few of them repeats.
